So far it’s slowing me down. I am accustomed to using the space bar. It’s hard to give up something that feels so natural, so right. I enjoy commas and apostrophes, too, and the delete key keeps me honest.

If only I had learned this during grad school instead of on the job. That would have been so useful.

Note to Medill: Teach spaceless, punctuation-free typing to methods students. They will thank you when they are employed.
